Dear Friends and Colleagues
As you may have seen in the news, there was a 4 alarm fire at 5125 SW Macadam Ave on Sunday evening. As many of you know that is our office building. The building is a complete loss and nothing is salvageable. The speculation is that the fire started in the elevator shaft. There is nothing confirming this yet, but for those of you who have been to the office, you know our office was right across from the elevator so we were at “ground zero” so to speak.
The best news is everyone is safe and no one was hurt.
Next, because we kept our server off site and we store our files on the cloud we lost almost no data that is not easily replaceable. We lost furniture, computer equipment, printers, and office supplies, but as far as important programs and client records we lost almost nothing.
As a result of the fire , we have been working from home since Sunday and trying to keep things as close to business as usual. A close friend of ours contacted us to offer space at her office while we are in transition to a new space. As you all know, it was our goal to move to Lake Oswego next year; this fire has just accelerated the time frame. The office space we will be at now is:
310 N State Street #210, Lake Oswego, OR 97034
For those of you familiar with Lake Oswego, this is at the corner of State Street and A Street (Hwy 43 is State Street in Lake Oswego and A Street is Country Club Road if you head to Boones Ferry Road). There is office space on the east and west side of the garage. We are on the east side of the parking garage (the side facing State Street). We are not sure how long we will be there, but at least through June of 2018.
