1. Our office has moved to 310 N State Street #210, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. Our office burnt down on January 28th, so we were forced to move to Lake Oswego at an earlier date. Nobody was hurt, and your information is safe. You can read more info about the fire on our blog post here. Getting to our new location for the first time can be tricky and directions can be found on the Contact section of our website.
2. The tax filing and payment deadline is Tuesday April 17th, versus the traditional April 15th deadline. This is because April 15th falls on a Sunday, and April 16th is Emancipation Day, which is a recognized Federal holiday in Washington DC.
3. Please get your organizer questionnaire and tax information to us by March 26th. If we do not get everything by this date, we cannot guarantee that your tax return will get filed by the due date. We process returns on a first-in first-out basis, so the sooner we receive your information the sooner your return will be filed. We are also anticipating slower turnaround due to the tax law changes and answering questions, etc.
4. Our billing/collection policy is changing. In compliance with industry standards and best practices, we will file your tax return only after we have received payment for services rendered. We will send a copy of our invoice along with the form we need signed to electronically file your tax return. Please return this form with either a check, or make an ACH bank transfer by clicking “pay now” directly on the invoice that is emailed to you.
5. To maximize efficiency, we will be sending all copies of your tax returns electronically and you will no longer receive a paper copy unless you request it. If you would still like to receive a paper copy, please check the appropriate box in the organizer questionnaire. To that extent, next year if you would like to receive your tax organizer questionnaire electronically, please check the appropriate box and include the email you would like us to send it to.
6. We have added a Client Service Coordinator to our administrative staff, as well as a new staff accountant. Joining our team are Leah Daugherty and Jace Parker. Leah comes to us with years of customer service and managerial experience. You can anticipate speaking with and being helped by her this coming year. Jace, a recent WWU graduate comes to us with degrees in Accounting and Business Management and is currently working his second tax season. A quick learner, we are pleased to have Jace on our team!
7. We are expanding our services!
